Avis Location Voiture - Neuilly Sur Seine

I needed a car right away. We contacted in the evening. They picked it up quickly, reserved it. They also took our wishes to find a slightly larger car. In the morning we were offered another option to choose from. Asma (manager in the office) did everything to make us understand all the details (we don't know language good, even the contract was printed in our language and all the details were explained). And most importantly they gave us their fresh and cheerful mood in 35 degree heat!

Our rental experience began positively with friendly and helpful staff at pickup. We returned the car on Sunday afternoon to the locked garage and left the keys in the designated dropbox. The vehicle was returned without any damage during the rental period. To our shock, we later received a bill for €600 in alleged damages. We have repeatedly called and emailed Avis requesting clarification and supporting information, but our questions have gone unanswered. Reading other Google reviews, it seems this lack of transparency and post-return damage claims are part of a troubling pattern at this agency. As an Avis Preferred Plus member, I’ve rented vehicles across North America, South America, Australia, and Europe. This has been, by far, the worst customer service experience I’ve had with Avis. I strongly advise against renting from this location.

There are some very negative reviews of this Avis location, but my experience was extremely, overwhelmingly positive. I am a non-french speaker but the staff were very happy to speak English after I asked politely. There was some confusion around my car order and initially I was given a car that would not fit my family of 6 plus luggage, fortunately another car was available which served our needs. The staff were friendly, efficient, helpful and polite. I was so impressed, especially with the young lady who served me and I later found it was a student both working and studying. Thank you to the team at Avis you made a difficult situation very easy. I, and my family, appreciate your hard work and willingness to be helpful it has made this part of our holiday much easier.

Used five times and four times have been great. However; never been to a car hire that didn’t have any cars, not even the one I’d booked. I then had to wait an hour for one from somewhere else, which had a massive scratch down the side. It then had no washer fluid and to rub salt into the wound they didn’t know how to accept avis voucher codes....👍🏻
