Rented a car from here 3/8/25-17/8/25. The lady I dealt with on arrival was great. We didn’t see anyone on return due to being outside opening hours, but had no issues.

Rented a car for a week. Car was a bit tatty but that didn’t bother me. Returned it a week later with no damage, and confirmed as such by them, but rather than the insurance excess holding charge falling off my credit card, they actually took the money. So, for a car I dropped off four weeks ago, I’ve had to email Avis, contact my bank, chase Avis, as well as make a minimum payment on my card that would have otherwise been zero. Four weeks later, they have now refunded (and it was a payment, not the disappearance of a pending amount, as the amount in pounds is different).

I was charged for an insurance I already had, £600. On collection I confirmed I had it but agent told me I did not so I paid. I have raised a complaint and hopefully Avis can restore my confidence to use again as in past been good. No one at drop off to discuss with

Wow, what a brilliant experience we had with Avis! The car was lovely and new, it was a great price and I have genuinely never had an easier, more straightforward time picking up and dropping off a car rental! They were so proficient and didn’t make you feel like you were signing your life away just trying to hire a car for a week. I would happily use them again the next time we visit.

Friendly staff , Michael in particular and a flexible approach to renting. I would definitely use them again , I left a car with no issues without it being checked and trusted the staff to close the rental. I received a zero invoice shortly which would indicate these are trustworthy people.

Couldn’t recommend Avis Car Rental at Bergerac Airport highly enough. Very friendly, efficient & professional service. On returning the vehicle, one of the Avis employees saw us struggling with my disabled father in law & luggage. He went out of his way to help us & gave us a lift to the terminal. Many thanks.

Was charged over 200 pounds for damages on return without any correspondence or explanation from avis at all. Phoned the avis team and asked for evidence/explanation. Was initially sent poor quality photos of a dirty vehicle covered in mud so was unable to identify damage. Took over a week with several phone calls and emails to the avis team to receive proper evidence of the so called damage. Tiny mark to paintwork noted which at other reputable car rental companies would be classed as fair wear and tear. Find it rude that they charge such fees without an email or phonecall explanation and then left to detail with unhelpful staff who think a picture of a tiny mark to paintwork from 5 feet away while the car is still covered in mud is going to suffice! Avoid this place, use other companies with reasonable wear and tear terms and conditions Inefficient, incompetent and unfair
